I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
